World of Warcraft tips #2
Shift + Right Click on a kill or chest to autoloot. Autoloot saves you a lot of time; the items are automatically placed into your inventory.
World of Warcraft tips #3
Sign up for as many quests as possible. Quite often you can do more than one quest in a region. Rather than doing one quest at a time, try to do several. When entering a new map region, go to the "main" town first, speak to all the NPC's, get all the quest, and then proceed to explore. If the quest requires you to spend hours running around, then abandon it.
World of Warcraft tips #4
Use groups when needed. Grouping can speed up your quest solving (certain quests all but require groups), but there are downsides to groups. Some 25% of quests are group quests, and a waste of time trying to solo. (You could level up and do some of these solo.) Beware of lousy or inexperienced groups. A group that doesn't know the basics, or keeps dying trying to complete a quest, will slow you down. You are better off soloing in this case.
World of Warcraft tips #5
Level grinding: tackling mobs (green mobs) just a few levels below you, lots of them. It's a great way to quickly rack up loot, XP, and grind out a level. It's boring, but the payoff is levels and loot. You don't take much damage, you kill them fast, and you have quick recovery (low down time). Fast, numerous, and smaller XP gains add up over time much quicker than higher but slower XP gains. So rather than waste a lot of time struggling with a quest, level grinding' yourself by spending time killing lesser creatures and then tackle the quest.
World of Warcraft tips #6
Quest tip: be wise on your quest approach. Do green quests solo. Do elite or other color quests (aside from red) as a group. Level grind to turn those quests green.
World of Warcraft tips #7
Wise weapon choice: don't use DPS (damage per second) as your main weapon criteria. Abilities such as the chance to score a critical hit and damage bonuses are calculated based upon the damage of the weapon or its speed. DPS is just an 'average' and is never used in computing an ability.
World of Warcraft tips #8
In speech and (macros) and, remember that "%t" will cite your current target. Shift + click on something will add it to your speech or your macro. Both %t and shift + click come in very handy.
World of Warcraft tips #9
While still low lever (approximately 10) travel to your racial ally's starting grounds and do those beginning quests (any of them that are green). The quests will be easy, and you will still get some XP for the kills.
World of Warcraft tips #10
Most of the really great weapons drop off bosses inside of instances. Roll on stuff that you can use. Roll "Greed" on stuff that you can't use, but would be nice to sell (or, be a nice guy and decline to roll on things you can't use).
World of Warcraft tips #11
Honor Kills: don't join raid groups or battlegrounds (some of them have 40 players!) for honor points. The return on a huge raid is very little. Solo or a normal party is your best bet for getting maximum honor.
